Very cool find, Richard. I agree that this is a special car. If I were in the market, this one I would prefer to a CX and safe 30K.

Agreed about the affordability, a lot of (low mileage) car for the money. These were attracting pricing if not sales approaching £100,000 more not so long ago.

B&C had a Speedster in that colour which I test drove - ultimately leading me to buy my +8. Unfortunately I am a bit too tall for the Speedster and didn't fancy a mouthful of wasps and flies every time I took it out. But it's a lovely design, just right to my eyes.

Lovely car! But any talk of it being better than the Plus Six is misguided IMHO. The CX platform is in a different league to the old ali chassis on that car and I wouldn't buy it on those grounds. There really is no comparison between the handling of the two cars and everything else is basically what you want it to look like

While Aero & CX chassis are leagues ahead of Trads, I doubt there's much difference in the chassis abilities between this Speedster's Aero chassis and a CX Plus Six - the CX might have a theoretical edge, but it'd be lost to being that bit harder to exploit. I reckon you'd have less confidence in the Six - losing it somewhere between the Six' well-known difficulties under acceleration making it hard to consistently get the power to the road, and Morgan's preference for trad-style suspension setups. In contrast, the auto box suits the V8, encouraging progressive power delivery without surprises. And of course an SSL suspension improves both cars. :-) Will

Thankfully, there are enough rooms in the Morgan Mansion for all tastes.
It's never been about which is better because Morgan is a cheeseboard with Marmite dips.
I found the cheese I like best. If others prefer different cheeses, I really don't care. I wouldn't even try tasting the Marmite dip.

With Dave W on this, I really like it and know that it would be a hoot to drive, black upholstery no good out here but at that price compared to a CX wow.
