To be honest I prefer the Minilites because it gives the Morgan such a fresh timeless sporty 60's look. In my opinion exactly with this light silver colour as is. There is only one aspect I would reconsider. Isn't 195/60 too much width for a 4/4? I would imagine narrower Minilites to be able to continue to drive 165/80. Just test it out. Maybe it works super cool with 195/60.

Try the minilites for a while. I hade some original 4-bolt minilites in the 80s, but went back to disc steel wheels because I preferred the look. My main problem with steel wheels is that I constantly damage the chrome hubcaps while taking them off and putting them on.

Put the minilites on, and then send the steelies off to get banded so you can have some big fatty wheels and tyres

When I bought the car it came with a brand-new set of 195/65. I found these were rubbing on the inside of the rear wheel arch so when I spoke to the dealer, they kindly covered the cost of some new vredestien T track 165/80 and these have been superb

So I’m also not sure about fitting the 19560 in case it has the same effect. But I think I’ll run the minilites for awhile to see if I like the look and if I do, I’ll take the 185/60 off the steel wheels and fit them to the minilites

I recall reading that you have slightly stiffer rear springs, and that gives you a little bit more height. Do you not find your tyres catch at the front when on full lock?

Mini lites each and every time. Steel wheels look aged (and boring)!

Minilites are a Marmite wheel I like them, but many do not. I'm not a fan of hubcaps. As for Phil's oversize rubber, definitely not for me - stick with the original size. Wide tyres put extra stress on steering and suspension. The sidewalls are part of a Morgan's suspension

I prefer the look of the Minilites, but OTOH 165s are a much better choice for a 4/4 as they preserve that lovely nimble checkable feel you get. Fatter tyres make the car feel heavier and more planted.

If the Minilites are 5.5" rims I'd go with them but fit a narrower tyre. You can put 165s on that size rim but it might look and feel a bit silly, I'd go for 185s personally. If they are not 6" rims then still go for 185s.

In any case keep both sets of wheels and change them as the mood takes you!

Steel wheels are great as long as they are not cracked around the bolt holes.

From the look of your car I think it is a pretty young so you shouldn't have any issues, but it is as well to double check.

It does look better on the steels , but the Minilites are going to be very useful for someone.

Steel wheels with hubcaps for me. With the Minilites the car looks a bit like a replica.
