In our old 4/4 we once had a puncture on the A50 dual carriageway. Limped to a slip road and changed the wheel. Jacking on tarmac, the factory jack was perfectly adequate. No sign of toppling or slipping. In this instance, as it was a rear wheel, I jacked the car under the spring close to the rear axle so the lift required was minimal.

It was our wedding anniversary and by the time I had changed the wheel, we had lost interest in our planned run to Dovedale. Ended up in a nearby pub for lunch.

And these show the jack in question being used on the front in the pitstop challenge at Newmarket. This is the DonMog ladies team.

I always carry a can of that puncture repair stuff....not necessarily a permanent fix, but enough so you can maybe change the wheel in a safer place...

It will probably work but then you will likely need to have the rubber seal replaced at MWS.

I imagine it depends on whether you are using innertubes...if you are, I can't see how it could work.
I'm often wrong though.....

Modern W/W are tubeless and shouldn't be fitted with tubes.
