Leave it too late in the season and by the time a customer views a car, decides to buy, pays a deposit and takes delivery the driving season is over.
They will be keen to get potential customers for new or used vehicles behind the wheel ASAP.....

Rumour from dealers is that not a single Super 3 has been sold this year. CX sales are also similarly very bleak.

A quick search for 'Super 3' on fbook turns up 4 handovers in March. It's hardly a scientific study of sales, but there are *some* sales going through.

The rumour might be on new car sales, the deliveries might of been ordered 6 months ago..

Spot on...

It’s a load of tosh that Morgan haven’t sold any new 3 wheelers. A farmer I know well in Herefordshire was due to pick his one up last week but put it off until today due to last weeks bad weather.

Anyone who has read the few threads I’ve posted in the past knows I live 5 mins from factory on Malvern Hills. I know people who work at factory in management positions who live in the village, and they have sold over 20 to private individuals and loads have gone abroad on lorry’s to dealers. These are sold cars, dealer bought who just need to be re sold to private individuals. The dealer has a choice, that’s the game he is in , trade buying, sell on with healthy profit.

My 19 plate ex factory car Plus 6 has over 20,000 on clock, I had no brake or radiator problem, even though it still got upgraded within weeks of the recall, it had overseer light come on once, and factory sorted same day. Nothing else has let me down and I drive it in all weathers and don’t treat it as my weekend bit on the side. I’m brutal to her and she loves it.

I did have a 15 plate traditional plus four, had for seven months, sold it to dealer at 5k loss. You would have had to pay me to drive that thing any distance.

We are all different, thank goodness, but I suppose I’m the customer in mid life Morgan want. And I fully intend to bin the Plus 6 out once the finance has finished being paid, and will have another new one or ex factory car.

Jono, I am sorry for your loss on the Trad but you have written a sterling advertisement.

Good to read and especially as you are far from the only happy CX owner to have reported back here with satisfaction.

Sadly the nature of forums is that they tend to attract the detractors and moaners, twas ever thus, enjoy your miles.

Hi Richard, yes I suppose you’re right. Two of my friends who copied my purchase and bought a Plus 6 also have had very positive experiences. They drive them a lot too. Bens is always filthy as he lives on a farm up a gravel track like me. I do believe the more you drive them, the better they are. You also get used to them, brakes , steering , wheel spin, acceleration, noise, drafts, odd leak in heavy rain. If you’re only doing a few thousand miles per year , I get that they can feel very odd in all departments after driving a modern say, BMW 330d or Ford fiesta .
They are probably not worth the money, but what car is?

New BM poverty spec 45k

New Ford transit 40k

Porsche Cayenne 140k

Range Rover 100k

All break down, warranty issues, lying dealers, bomb in price . Morgan potentially no different.

Have you ever seen a poor Morgan or Lotus dealer. I doubt it.

Everyone is full of s**t.

Including me😂🙈

True

Though one of those FB posts was a new order rather than a delivery :-)

Interesting comparison but there have been plenty of dealers drop out of Morgan sales and I doubt it is because they were making too much money....
