What is this lever under the dashboard for? :

I am taking a shot in the dark here but perhaps interment wiper control?

Again just a guess, but it looks similar to a retro fitted multi function remote control for a car radio. I adapted similar from a Sony radio to use on my yacht.

You can see it in this image below right hand side of chart plotter.

the car is not equipped with a car radio.
however, it has the metal headlight and wiper controls, not the original plastic.

I believe Morganpark in Germany offer these turned metal stalk switch conversions but are unable to include the OE wiper delay. I guess Perry was right and a part of the old wiper switch has been fitted below dash and wired back in to perform this function Nestor.

Then it is the wiper intermittent control

You could always replace with one of these and control everything from the stalk.

I have one fitted to my 1972 4/4 and it gives you numerous intermittent wiper settings. Flick the wiper on once, flick it again at the required interval and it then copies until you cancel. - anywhere between 3 and 30 seconds.

I have the wash/wipe version - when I press the windscreen washer, the wipers give three strokes - modern Mogs have this, but not the older ones.

I've actually fitted a windscreen wiper and washer control on my steering column to replace the two switches on the dash. as it was a right pain in the dark to hit the switches

I will not have the use of this lever for the moment, because I disassembled the wipers because I put the car in Aeroscreen Brooklands configuration :
