I had that issue when I fitted the quickshift on mine. I'm sure I would have got used to it in time, but too many wrong gears for my liking.

Like the neat cover over the spark plugs. Where did that come from?

Yesterday, actually, made and fit the shoulder harness braces between the chassis and the anchor points at the top of the wheel arches. Coat of paint and drill the holes in the chassis today...[Linked Image]

I have never seen that before. What is the logic?

Got up early and went to the local car boot sale and picked up a whole pile of engineering tools for 15 quid including two brand new T&J 15/16 to 1" expanding reamers and their pilots, a couple of Moore and Wright calipers and a set of Starrett punches in their original wallet.

Then a pile of Snap On sockets from a 3 for a quid box. Proper old Snap On too not this modern stuff.

Just about to leave when one of the stall holders unloaded a pair of new Girling rear brake backplates which looked familar. 3 quid changed hands and they turned out to be suitable for fitting to a 7HA axle. Could not believe it as I was looking for set for my Plus 4!!

Came home and machined up the rear cover for the Moss box. It had been welded some time previously and I did a dye penetrant test on it. No cracks so milled the welds back and then spot faced the bolt holes.
