For those that don't have fancy printers, legend sheets are readily available (may be an MOT fail if switches not labeled correctly)

Morgan should be beating a path to your door with a consultancy proposal.

There’s an old TM image of a pcb that suffered from water damage or a short in the indicators. Can’t remember precisely but it burnt out some of the tracking which is shown here repaired. Quite an expensive fuse…

That’s a very nice dash indeed Bernt. Do you still have your pcb somewher behind there?

Wow Roger what a lovely job as always.

Looks very tidy and a lot more straight forward for future maintenance. Well done that man.

Out of interest what is the name of the enclosure that you have used to house your electronic masterpiece?
I have been looking for that very thing for another project for some time now but just can't find them.

Well done again and keep up these interesting posts.

Rob....

Why is there only one monopolies commission??

Thanks Rob, sorry but the enclosure is a 3d printed home brew job that I did just for this job frown

For an enclosure you could try a waterproof fly box and take out the inside..

Ok maybe not an orange one but you get the idea

For my understand why did they move to a PCB in the first place, was it from 2003? My 1996 car just has simple switches and fuses.

Good question! I don’t know the reason why a semiconductor packed circuit board was used on these pre BCU cars. I appear to have gotten away with just switches wires and regular relays, time will tell...There are two heavy duty diodes in my concoction but that’s an unnecessary luxury simply because I couldn’t find a double gang toggle for the hazards with a led to match the others. The pcb even has a pic micro that appears to be there to drive the indicators, a £4 Landy flasher seems to work fine too. The only reason I can speculate why it might possibly have been used was to reduce the car’s initial build time, thus keeping production costs down?
