Wow!
All parts look very nice.
That must be a very expensive Restauration...
Congratulation and enjoy the time you will now have!
I was surprised they redid the leather on a brand new Moto-Lita Steering wheel but it does look very nice. The total car is fixed price contract and $2,000 cheaper than a new 4/4 was if I had ordered one when they were available. They are doing an excellent job and while expensive when compared to buying a stock MGB or buying a MX5 etc. I feel it is very good value for what I am going to get in the end. It has taken a lot longer than expected but looking forward to having more time to enjoy it soon.
Picture of the guitar please.
They painted the guitar body for me before doing the car so I could see if I liked the colour, a guitar body is not a bad choice for trying out a colour as you can take it out in the sun and get a few different angles. Generally they do the boot but the car was ready to paint just as COVID lockdown occurred so they were going to send me just a piece of painted metal about A4 in size, I had the idea of a guitar body instead and they were happy to do that. In the end they dropped off both the guitar body and the boot for me to look at.
All the various guitar parts came from two different Ebay sellers, all good quality known brand name parts however the only genuine Fender part is the cover over the rear pickup, these are known as ashtray as when Leo Fender took his new Telecaster (called a Broadcaster) around the clubs for people to try they all took the cover off and some used it as an ashtray. I like the look but also take it off to play. I had a lot of fun reading reviews and deciding which parts to use. I fitted a 4 way switch so I can get Bridge, Neck, both in parallel and both in series. Both in series sounds great, to me it is the best overall and not available in the standard Telecaster wiring. I also got the neck plate engraved with a MG badge. Overall the guitar is as nice to play as any Tele I have tried in music shops and cost me about the same as the cheaper made in Mexico models.
Hopefully I will get the strap next week and can take some photos of the guitar with strap, and some photos of the matching car and guitar together.
