An interesting note - there were a number of US bound Super 3s at the factory, and almost all of them had the front fenders missing. I asked about that - if it was a part shortage? The guide said they take the front fenders off of the cars being shipped overseas so they don't get dinged up in transport.

Best of Luck
Thank you for the pictures, this is helping me to accept the look of the US LHD Super 3 vs the UK version. It would be expensive to replace the rear lights with the UK versions, but I still feel the need to relocate the front headlights to the UK position and fit the UK type front "snails eye" indicators.

Totally agree, it looks cross eyed, like the US M3Ws did. The four light UK config looks great.

I believe there might be an update (recall??) on the UK Super 3's as well. Issue with the make of bearings fitted and lack of grease banghead
The S3 hub is same as the 5 speeder except a bit wider so would assume same quality (i.e filled with grease) aftermarket bearings as can be found on Alt Parts list will also fit.

The headlight placement can be fixed with the A shaped brackets fitted to the UK/Euro versions and a couple of Cibie LED spotlights in the holes where the US headlights where. I was hoping that red variants of the rear indicators where available so that they could be used dim as tail lights and bright as rear indicators, the single taillight/brake light seems a bit minimal and doesn't show the width of the vehicle from behind, the same problem as the closely spaced front headlights not showing vehicle width

I quite like the US rear light and front indicators arrangement…

Well, I have to report that after the clutch of my S3 broke after 2'200km and 3 months of ownership, 3 weeks ago (now 3'300 km) my rear wheel bearing broke during the drive on a narrow mountain road, which almost sent me down a cliff...

The car is now at the dealership, and I was told that mechanics from Malvern will be coming to inspect the vehicle. So it might have been this incident that triggered the closer scrutiny of the bearing.

I am currently in discussion with the dealer and Morgan to return the car for a full refund, as in my view it is "unsafe to drive". Very disappointed but let's see how the story unfolds.

That’s awful! Thank goodness you didn’t have a bad accident when it went.

Fingers crossed you can return the car for a full refund after that. I had to trade mine in as the original dealer I bought mine from wouldn’t let me return it. Stating that I can only return it if they can’t fix one of the faults. I then asked to trade it in with them for another used car they had for sale. I was told “No, I have 2 other Super 3’s here that I can’t sell, why would I want another one!”

Luckily I traded it in elsewhere and although I lost a good bit of money, I was happy to get rid of the burden.

Such a shame.

I hope you get it all worked out and come out of it with all your money. Then go out and get yourself a Lotus Elise or a Caterham, their brilliant!

Thank you Chris! I am now waiting for an offer what they will pay me back, and then I will be looking around for a replacement. Having owned an Elise before, I might be tempted... innocent

Sorry to hear about the rear wheel bearing. Hope you find a happy resolution.

Had the same clutch issue, interestingly the failure appeared to be quite slow. I noticed a slightly more notched change on a drive back from somewhere, parked it on the drive and got in it a few hours later at which point the pedal was soft!

Overall I am still really enjoying the car so no plans to swap it just yet smile
