If I had a 2 car garage - or even room for a 2 car garage - This is what would be alongside the Plus 4 in a shot - Well a year, as that's the waiting list time....
Pembleton T24
We expect delivery into Suffolk of a Pembleton T24 on the 24 August, these little cars look great beside our 3 and 4 wheel Morgans at our events.
I think anything old depending of what your flavour is.
I’ve sold a few recently inc my much loved Ford GT. Epic car but couldn’t relax when there are speed bumps everywhere and people seem to be dribbling around far more lately at well under the already ridiculous speed limits.
But my cars that give me the most joy are the S1 Etype DHC, the 66 Sting Ray 427 which and to a lesser degree my TR6, my modern stuff seems to be parked up in my unit all year round now.
Both my Etype and Sting Ray are fast cars even by todays std and I do drive both far too Fast really, but equally I’m happy plopping around slowly.
With old cars there’s much more to a drive, more involving, more stuff going on. It’s just a shame our weather doesn’t allow me to drive them all year round. It’s why I start losing the plot through winter.
The 981 and 982 series Boxster/Cayman are, in many ways, traditional cars. A nicely analogue cockpit, none of the "nanny state" aids, unless specified at build... mine has a simple cruise control, all that is needed TBH.
All the cleverness is in the software that supports engine, gearbox and suspension....including the engine mounts! There are 3 different settings and each has a hyper mode obtained by pressing the Chronsport button.
Sport + with Chronosport button activated gives maximum everything, for 20 seconds....it is mental: turbo at maximum boost (14psi), wastegate closed, gear changes held to the red line plus 200rpm, throttle and gearbox maps specific to launch control and 0-62 in 4,2 seconds....
Normal mode and the car is as docile as any other modern car....
It does for me...

I'll throw in a comment from my mid twenties son who after a long drive in our Roadster commented, " I absolutely love it. You can potter along, you can see everything and smell stuff. You know it can go like the proverbial but who cares. Why would you want anything else ?"
