Can I fit Morgan plus 4 size tyres on my 2013 Morgan 4/4 wire wheels with no clearance issues
Thanks in advance

Be careful because the 4/4 wire wheels have slightly more inset than Plus 4 and Roadster wires. The narrow bodied Plus 4 comes with 185/70 Avons, but clearance to the spring mount at the top of the crosshead is 2 or 3mm.
I tried 185/70 Blockleys but they fouled the spring mounting. So I think you should be Ok with a 175, but 185 is brand specific, so get the front clearance checked.

Why would you want to change the profile? The standard profile works really well as long as you choose the right tyre’s Vredestein T Trac2 for example.

I run 175/70/15 on my 4/4. To me best comprise. To me they fill the arches well & look proportionate.

The tyres on at the moment are 165-15 with some very expensive Avons on the front and Continentals on the rear and I’m going to fit a matching set of 4 but wondered what other people have tried and found to be good.

It seems to me that your front tires have more grip than the Continental in the rear. The Continetal have "negative grip", so to speak. This is not a good idea and could cause you to lose the rear. I will be buying my third set of T Track next spring, no desire for wider tires for my 2014 4/4 with 145 hp. I was thinking 175/70, but really just out of curiosity, the 165/80 just fit the 4/4 very well. It should be four of the same and new tires no matter what size.

T- Trac 2 tyres made a massive improvement over the original continentals ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/07/08/2D8F4283-AF94-4F05-8869-93B0EA7D9E98.jpeg)
