Chap selling a set on Facebook.
I’d love a spare but really don’t need a set.
Anyone else?

He’s asking for offers over £2k for the set, which I guess is about right?

They’re fitted with Pirelli tyres but aged out (2014).

I saw those.

Didn’t realise he’s after offers over.

A tad greedy maybe. Tyres NFG to man nor beast.

Wheels are better off inspected without tyres as they’re prone to cracking.

I already have a spare set I bought from MMC new a while back. Think they were circa 2k

I must admit I’d feel nervous not having spares.

I bought them.
A couple of people have mentioned they might be interested in buying one as a spare, i'll certainly keep one but the other three i'm happy to share with my fellow Aero owners.

Paid £2k flat and collected them yesterday so they're "in hand". All four are holding air so far :-)

So if any other Aero S1 owners want a spare wheel (just in case) just drop me a line. Not looking to make a profit, just happy to help others keep these wonderful cars on the road.

Very nice offer, I do need to get some spares but having a GTN I need to refurb them to the correct colour anyway - so I would rather either brand new for that price or a set that is not curbed but just tired and needing a refurb, else its getting rather expensive!

My understanding is that the last of the new wheels left the factory a decade ago at £600+VAT a wheel so £500 to have a functional spare is cheap insurance in my book (even more so on a £100k car like yours!).

Brian Dunton down on the south coast is having one off me in January, and i'm keeping at least one for myself - but there are two left at this point.

A fair point, problem is i know of sets sold by the factory for slightly less, and used ones a bit tattier being sold for a lot less - so I guess I am stuck a little to that pricing!

Perhaps in the new year I will pick some up if anything arises, I can't buy anything else for now to stay out of the dog house laugh2

Hi, if there are any of the S1 wheels still available, I’d very much like to have a spare or two. Let me know, and how I can contact you - or you me etc…
Thanks

Thanks, for the wheel - and the tea and chat! Really appreciated, and let me know if you ever get to need the spare before I do.

Hi in process of securing a S1 to keep my Plus 4 four seater company. Wondering if you have a spare wheel - (presuming a single hub wheel) then I would be interested in securing a spare. Let me know please, many thanks Andy

Hi Andy,
I'm afraid all 4 wheels are potentially spoken for.
Certainly i'm keeping one, JDM has already collected one, and two others have "reserved" one each.
If either of those two falls through though i will let you know.
Ultimately us Series 1 owners need to look after each other, if you get a Series 1 and end up with a wheel problem i'm sure between us we can help.
One of the chaps who is having one of my wheels is based in the south of France and has had his S1 off the road for 6 months already due to a damaged wheel :-(
Thanks,
Pete
