Hello

I have some difficulty to put the steel profile of the capote on the windscreen correctly.
Maybe is the rubber I have to change?
I need 1cm to push it.
Thanks for your reply

If it's the hood header rail you are referring to, check the rubber in inverted U section of rail. Mine got folded back on itself on one side making fitting difficult. A new seal cured the problem but all old glue must be removed with solvent then seal fitted with industrial grade glue.

The rubber is like new, but it is too hard to get the steel profile correctly on the windscreen.

Maybe I have to lube the rubber and also the windscreen?

I need an instructor....

Make sure that when you replace or improve the rubber seal, you pack it out the correct width to match the screen frame (as I did when fixing it on my Roadster).

Try some talcum powder on seal to ease fitting if it appears undamaged. Some lubes may damage rubber!

Daft question but have you released it at the rear via the catch?

Sorry I inspected the rubber and I saw some parts are a little take off.
It is also hard.
I think I need a new one, is it usual after 10 years but only 18500 km?

Mine is 13 years old and still good.
You do not say where you live. I think maybe Europe? If so, it could have deteriorated from UV effects of strong sunshine?
