The changes aren't really terrible, but they're not exactly pretty either. I particularly dislike the loss of the front indicators, along with the rear badge that could have been on a Lada. The black front spoiler isn´t good too. So this is the “new” Plus Four. The Pininfarina model is probably on a similar level.

I quite like it. The black front spoiler can be in body colour - at a price.

However, Mrs F was fairly forthright in her declaration that I am not having one!

The front spoiler clearly shows the bussines concept of Morgan since italian money went in. Standard it is kind of primer black (quite ugly) and you can get it for i don´t know houndreds of gbp in the colour of the car. crazy3
That is embarrasing! And by the way. The car hasn't become any prettier imo.

And I'm sorry to tell you this. But your comparison with Porsche prices is unfortunately wishful thinking. A 718 with 300 hp is now cheaper.

As probably one of the biggest Morgan fans who has had +8s and +4s in the garage for over 35 years, I can only say: I don't like the direction the company is moving in.

I'm lucky enough to have seen some of the new bits in the flesh and it looks great.

Great value for money as well. Don't forget these cars are made built to your spec with your choice of colours. Other marques have lost the craftsman feel.

They're not going to be for everyone.

Some of the changes I like, but I suspect that the front-end changes are a result of value engineering rather than a design aesthetic.

Not keen on the headlights or the combined indicator & brake lights.

I like what they did to the rear lights, looks more classic car like.
From a reliability point of view, i like the idea of intergrating the indicator lights into the headlights. The seperate indicator lights tend to corrode internally due to ingress of water.
On the other hand, the headlights (specially made for Morgan) will cost a fortune when they need replacing.
The headlights themselves look a bit “hollow”, perhaps they look better when switched on, which is what one should always do when driving.
No idea what the new springs and dampers will do, particularly the effect of the upgraded suspension option. Curious to learn more about this in a side by side comparison.
I am very disappointed that there is no LSD still.
Also, I had hoped for a redisign of the hood mechanism to provide more shoulder space when chair is moved back to accommodate taller peron. In that sense my Roadster is more accommodating.
I am not sure the direction the company is taking, will lure in more enough new customers. Many long term Morgan lovers, cannot afford these prices and will not upgrade to Plus levels. They will need to wait a couple of years when the depreciated Plus cars get traded in.
