How many times did you replace the rollers and how many miles did you get

My rollers are still fine at 26000 miles, taken out and checked once a year, previous M3W still ok at 28000 miles. I do think their longevity depends on your driving style.

When the chassis was replaced, we went ahead and replaced the rollers in the Centa unit. They looked good and evenly worn. I have been damn religious in keeping the revs above 3K at all costs and never lugging the engine. I would like to think that my paying attention to the rpm's has paid off. The S&S is a torque monster.

Still running original Morgan rollers though driveline is Bleazeyed now. Done 30,000 mls and they still are unmarked/unworn. I do keep them lubricated with high temp silicone grease and am sure this helps but I agree driving style is a factor. Tried the Bleazey rollers for a short while, they were too harsh so removed and binned.

I believe that was for a replica that was intended to be made in 100 units for the Morgan 100th anniversary by Triking. Tony Divey, the owner of Triking, was in failing health and only a prototype was partially constructed. Moto Guzzi wanted too much for the required components (not much less than the cost of a complete bike) and that, in combination with Tony's health situation, put an end to the project.

If the project had gone ahead, as I understand it, it would have had little to do with the Morgan company.

The eventual 3 wheeler was inspired by the Liberty Ace which used a HD engine but the eventual desifn was so different that one can only say "inspired by".

It is a rather curious sequence of events that the M3W was inspired by the Liberty Ace, which in turn was inspired by the Triking (Pete Larsen had tried to buy one), and, of course, the Triking was inspired by the original Morgan 3 Wheeler. Full circle

well, dang, my cranky thread lives on.

so far... 18k miles and the centa rollers work... if it sits any length of time... I get 1-2 quarts out of the sump... or I blow smoke and burnt dermot out of the exhaust.

Right now I am putting back together a 1978 Goldwing I bought new... the engine is like new AT 140,000 MILES.

Maybe 1970's technology might have been a good idea

With that thought in mind can you imagine what driving Pete Larsens Liberty Ace Mk2 would feel like with the Goldwing engine?

Honestly, driving the ACE f-6 is like piloting from the nosecone of a Rocketship

The balanced Harley motor in Pete's original ACE design is very rowdy, yet civilized too
