Am I correct in assuming the only way to be certain about the condition of the actual clutch components except for the master cylinder and lines, is to remove the engine and physically inspect at that point? I am starting to believe this may actually be the master cylinder, however that opinion may be informed by my FEAR of engine removal and all that entails. I guess I’ll start to source the part later today, starting with M3wservices

Getting the engine in and out is not all that bad and you DO NOT HAVE TO CUT AWAY PLASTIC TRANSMISSION TUNNEL to get to all the bolts/nuts. I will look for a write up i did with photos.
2019 M3W Sold and is now in Las Vegas enjoying the showgirls :-)

I just ran into the same issue, and have inquired of M3W Services for purchase of a master cylinder. Does anyone know what the part number/ designation is, and if it can be purchased from a US auto parts supplier?

Have you checked out the alternative parts list on here ? link to clutch spares and original part numbers.

I emailed Craig@m3Wservices with pn# U120071 Clutch Master Cylinder. Date of manufacture on my VIN plate is 12/13.
