If nothing else get the garage who service it to remove & replace the wires annually & grease the splines. They should do that to check on the brakes.
The wheels really need to come off to clean properly. MWS do a good cleaning kit but it is v expensive

I find it weird that MMC advise against a one point jack to change a wheel, you're bu66ered for a DIY roadside puncture & would the AA man think you were balmy pointing it out ?

Is the CX chassis so weak ? What if you drop into a big pothole ? What about a steep twisty ramp onto a ferry ? surely there are lots of 'normal' situations that subject the chassis to high point loads ?

I thought at launch MMC bragged it had more torsional stiffness than the Aero chassis ? The bonding glues used produce a joint stronger than the material...so is this admission that the alloy is a bit low grade ?

What's the restrictive jacking info for a modern Lotus, as ex Lotus lads designed the CX chassis (allegedly)

Well if you have a puncture, the chassis has already been subjected to uneven stress, so jacking it up just enough to change a wheel seems unlikely to be an issue.
I am wondering whether there is some mis-interpretation of the manual here. Maybe it is meaning not to jack it up in the air beyond normal height at a single point to say, gain bodily access beneath the car. etc? I haven’t checked my manual but have a feeling that I have seen a similar statement for trads, yet they were still provided with a scissors jack.

Page 63 of the MY23 handbook gives information on lifting the car. There are reinforced points which should be used with a single jack.

Note the Plus Four link for 2020 onwards take syou to the Plus Six and vice versa
