I’ve been offered a brand new Plus Four at a very good price. It has some nice options and in a colour combination I really like.
The market is currently looking rather bleak so I’m still feeling cautious. Anyone willing to share what they’ve managed to negotiate recently on brand new in stock cars? Happy to have people PM me so that we aren’t devaluing the model on an open forum!
Given we only have a few weeks left of August I think I’ll wait until the new reg in September…

Is it the latest Plus Four or the MY23 car?

It sounds very much like a judgement call. Nice options and a colour choice you "Really Like" may never happen again unless you spec a new car. If the price is good, then sometimes the potential of depreciation is best left to one side. Certainly when we specced a new Plus 4 in 2016, I did that in the full realisation that: 1: New Morgans need a degree of fettling at the start, before they settle down. 2: Depreciation would be inevitable with a new car. No regrets.

So it is not the latest model then. For me I think the my23 are better looking than the new ones. Good luck

I agree on the look of the MY23. I really don’t like the look of the new one, as odd as it sounds, to my eyes it seems to have lost a bit of ‘Britishness’

On further investigation, this unregistered car that is advertised as MY23 on the Morgan website, doesn’t have airbags, a glovebox or traction control, and I’ve just seen it advertised elsewhere as 2022. Therefore it doesn’t look like such a bargain.

I have a MY22 Plus Four built at the end of the year and first registered at the start of 2023. No air bag or traction control I know but looks wise I think the interior with the 'traditional style' dash on these models is better. As always though, each to their own!
