Interesting Steven, Octane have always liked the Fighter, as I do too! Whilst they mention Toby Silverton, in fact he left Bristol at the end of last year and the new Managing Director is Julian Ramshaw. He was formerly with Maranello as the Sales Manager for Maserati. Bristol do have a new model on the cards, which I believe will use Frazer Nash Hybrid technology and Bristol car-building experience, but no details are available so far.

Great that Bristol is up and running again. The Fighter is a wonderful machine: the M3W could take a leaf out of Bristol's book in one repect. The Octane article notes "the turning circle is fabulous, tight as a London taxi, quite literally: London taxi was the target spec." Notlob

Notlob like often, when the product is too good the company doesn't make profit on it

I must say I agree about the M3W's turning circle, maybe it's an issue with those mudguards? As regards Bristol Steven, there is little doubt that the Fighter bankrupted the company. Development costs were huge apparently and not many have been sold - I still fancy one though...

I seem to recall seeing a fantastic streamlined aluminium bodied Bristol from the 50's or 60's. Is that possible or am I confusing Bristol with another make? I think the car in question was finished in clear lacquer over the aluminium. In any case the aluminium was visible.

If I recall it was a little more conservative. The owner told me it had been built by a company that had been making aircraft during the war and had switched (part of?) their production to cars after the war.
