I was wondering who from this illustrious online village might be attending the Goodwood Revival this year?
First time for Me (as it's a bit down the road from here!) .... have forum members met up during weekend? (Or, having read what gets posted on here, do they stay well away from each other?😆)

Ps ....just checked and it's 634 miles each way by the direct route (however, we're hoping to do it on A and B roads as much as possible ... we'll see how reality sets in over the course of the trip though 🙂)

Not going this year as other things got in the way, but have met up with good folk on previous occasions including a group of TM Austrians looking more country gent than I ever do. They were charming folk in their Morgan’s.
Nestor is a regular attendee as is The Weggmeister🙏

I've been going on Sunday for quite a few years.
There is so much to see and do, the full weekend is probably more sensible to fit it all in.
Take comfortable shoes and dress up in the spirit of the event.

Julian ... will be there from Thursday night til Monday morning! ... got to get value for all the miles 🙂 ... Mrs Image is somewhat of a seamstress so has knocked us up some suitable togs from original '40s/'50s patterns.

My advice is don't rush to leave, it's manic exiting the car parks with the great unwashed
Stay a while into the evening, chill and watch the sunset, you'll sometimes catch the display aircraft leaving and having a little play...it's wonderful, then a leisurely stroll to your car and no queues to exit & all the service roads are almost empty

Stay on into the evening and enjoy the warbirds lovely displays just prior to sunset then enjoy the Glen Miller live music and dancing, wonderful and great place to meet people over a pint.

I've been taking a break from Goodwood this year. I hadn't intended to go to the Revival but after pressure from my youngest, I will be there with her on the Friday. I hope you have a good journey down. Having just driven less than half that distance to visit my son in Yorkshire I know how tiring it can be.  Weggmeister.

Can't decide if the journey will be Heaven or Purgatory ... like most things in life I suspect a mixture of both!! 🙂
Likely we'll be forced onto M-ways for short stretches, if only to get past big connurbations where the back-roads would be an urban nightmare ... but expect plenty of byways across the emptier bits of the map.

Sadly, no plans to attend this year.
When we attend the MM, we make a 4 night trip, arriving at our favourite Arundel pub on the Thursday evening and leaving after breakfast on Monday.
The journey from our home in Devon can be a challenge; taking in the A35, M27 and A27 and totalling just about 180 miles each way.
Usually one of our annual highlights.
