May be of interest to owners of M3W with the loop in the rear brake line.
Noticed that mine was hitting the underside of the tray and must have been stressing the line.
Easily cured by cracking the pipe nut while holding the fitting on the wheel cylinder and rotating down a bit.

This brings up a question I have had since I saw that brake line for the first time.

Why is there a loop in it?

It makes it possible to remove the rear wheel without disconnecting the brake line.

Thanks Obie, apparently MMC anticipates removing that wheel a lot.

The one time I changed the tire (at 1k miles) I put a Speed Bleeder on the slave cylinder making the bleed process a one person job. I don’t know if anyone makes a quick disconnect for a brake line that captures the fluid so the possibility of a mess being created is minimized.

High Lightspeed. Answer to your question is yes.
Air force hydraulic couplings are a two piece affair, male and female, self sealing both ends.

I repositioned my rear line to be tidy and straight, with the loop moved forward, behind the seat. Actually instead of a loop, it's now more of a large radius curve, and easily allows the wheel to slide back and off the swingarm. A zip tie ensures it remains clear of any pinch hazards.

Good idea, I’ve got to remove the boot liner again now!

And enough around the bell housing to be able to pull that line all the way forward.
