The new Lotus with the AMG turbo engine has 2 cooling systems it is very common on turbo cars. I don't have a diagram. One is for the intercooler and the other the traditional radiator & turbo.
Thank you again John!
It was my understanding that the second "cooling systemÈ is needed to cool the air entering the turbo and has nothing to do with engine cooling
per se.
Do either or both those overflow tanks have blank or pressure caps? Do the other turbo cars leak as well? Simple cooling systems have been doing their job
for a very long time. This one is certainly not money based . A glance of the money generously lent to the Company during the rad/brake period certainly
establishesTHAT. So I wish this rad things they had to failed with another company or had been quickly corrected years ago..
The control I'm guess reduces thermal shock vs an on off mechanical thermostat. 24 cars now don't have the swirl pot either. The rad is stronger as the side design was strengthened.
Thermal shock is MMCspeak.

Actually, the only occasion I have seen it appropriately applied was with the last LR V8s.
John (Eales) has a very cogent
theory about that. Generally, there are three types of rads for this simple soul..
1.
Badly designed..for example the canted rads sold by the still sold by the aftermarket.
2.
Badly made rads that leak.
3.
Good rads that work and cause no problem.
Take your pick. What concerns me is that it has taken so much time to resolve the issue. This is painful for the market and the company. And while I
GREATLY
ADMIRE the new MMC stepping up to the plate and backing their product
as few do these days, I believe that the
length of time and faulty designs ?),
point to someone at the MMC rather than a supplier. Suppliers are only responsible until the Company becomes aware of an issue, after that it is the Company..
I have no idea who the supplier was or is .
No clue myself either. I asked about Radshape involvement as it became insolvent last year. I shall make inquiries.

P.S. I am charmed at your brake/clutch reservoir, John! It is same one they fit to the car they specially made for me 22 years ago! It is off the Aero of the day.
