Aerolan. The heater in the S1 is quite a simple one there is no adjustment for control from memory. The round knob is just a switch or thats how it seemed to work on mine. The unit looks mechanical to work off elecric a few squirts of WD might be worth lt. Iv'e never seen a car generate so much heat under the bonnet as the S1 did. If you decide to pop the dash back you will have very little space to get at the switch all the cableing is so tight and some very sharp edges. Good luck hope its an easy fix. Em

Taff in this case the fault is the knob that controls hot and cold does not move the blend flap in the heater box. So the heater is stuck on hot. is there a way of testing the wiring/knobs etc?
Gonna have to get my way into heaterbox somehow. It all looks bonded together.

If it is like the trads it uses a Bowden cable from the knob and maybe that is undone at the knob. Here are some photos of my old Roadster's controls & the heater control quadrant. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/10/06/20230811_165224.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/10/06/Bowden-cable-clip.jpeg)

Aerolan. If it is the switch try car builder solutions, you rally need to keep that knob on the best dash Morgan ever produced. Em

Em I find that this is handy stuff for cleaning e.g. switch contacts - Contact Cleaner - useful stuff to have around and a can will last you for ages.... James

Sadly the Aero doesn't have Bowden cable operated heater flaps. This screenshot from parts book shows just rotary switches and/or potentiometers. It's all appears to be electrically controlled therefore. Note there is one control that selects fresh or re-circulating air. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/NiPuyC6.jpg)

Great job by Rick Henning of Rick’s Garage … in his words: Stripped the heater box, got the blend motor and worked out the problem, managed to make a wee bracket and sort out the fault etc. all good now sir.
