Budster, when a dream turns into a nightmare, maybe?
As usual these have mostly been fixed by owners…
Cracked chassis —> 2014+ chassis and/or revised engine mounts
burnt out rectifiers —> solved by using HD ones
bevel box issues —> noise mostly, solved by earplugs

belt drive issues —> reliable but needs care aligning… early drive sockets replaced by steel ones are ok
cush drive —> replaced by the Centa and maintainable with a mod
obsolete engine —> true for any Mog > 10yrs old?
Best to think of 21st century M3Ws as motorbike equivalents.
Of course there are plenty of <1950 M3Ws treated rightly as classics alongside <2000 4 wheelers - each to their own!
Regarding the dream… I see Malvern becoming a rental centre for all your classic dreams (of a certain style)!
