Not only aluminium from the carb body, but brass as well from the jets. And some burrs still attached to the jets. On top of that, the casting is terrible. One of my winter projects will be pulling it apart again and cleaning it up.

After a thorough cleaning the car runs great.

So much for quality control!

Whoa! This is a "genuine" Weber and not one of the Chinesium copies...

Yes. I spoke with the supplier, Pegasus Racing, and told them about all the issues. They were very surprised since they sell a lot of them. Maybe mine was just made on a day when the quality control guy had been drinking all night.
