I would absolutely agree with this - even for 'Morgan specific' stuff. Anywhere that has proper mechanics rather than than just 'vehicle technicians' or whatever they are called these days is perfectly capable of doing anything on a Morgan. There is absolutely nothing on a trad that would faze an experienced mechanic, and all the engine stuff is very straightforward.

I use a local independent to do work on the Land Rover and I get him to MOT the Morgan. He's always offering to do any work on it that I can't be bothered with and the guys there are always working on older cars. They even maintain a Hudson Terraplane for an old guy who lives locally.

The idea that a trad Morgan needs to be maintained by a Morgan dealer is a great idea for the dealers, but not so good from the owner's point of view.

LOL! Not splitting hairs here but not everything is unique to the 80th, it uses a lot common components from the drive train, chassis, bodywork etc but has some added features not seen else where. Same applied to my 70th Anniversary and each model year was restricted to just 2 examples.

I prefer the 80th more as it uses the older type hood rather than the half way house of the 70th., although that did benefit from a folding screen.

Good to see you post here! Trust all is well?

Yes, after over 20 years, it is time for something more practical for longer trips with the perceived better security for photo kit etc.
I suspect if I still had RTA things might be a trifle different.

Unique' is often cited as a word that should never be modified, as its original meanings were "being the only one" and "unequaled." But 'unique' has another meaning, "unusual," and it's common to modify the word when it's used this way.
