I don't mind him. He might be 'posh', he might be wealthy, so what🤷🏻♂️, he seems pretty genuine..... I agree with Dave, Starmer the home counties, eton and oxbridge, champagne socialist with a knighthood seems to be as slippery as they come. He and his cabinet seem way out of their depth..... I didn't vote. No one was worthy of my vote.

As an aside, Ken Clarke's autobiography is a fascinating read for folks of a certain age - it goes into some detail about how he saw a decline in standards in his last years in the house. Yes I always liked Ken and his book was thoughtfully penned and full of insights of the time. The PM we should have had instead of Doris et al.. K - intrigued to know "who looks good on tv" ?[/quote] I also thought Ken would have been a good PM but he was very pro EU so didn't fit. John Major was actually better than the media allowed even though Margaret tried to undermine him. The problem we have these days is that far too much is pushed by the mainstream media and failing that then social media takes over. I wonder how many 'signatures' on the latest petition calling for another GE are real and of the UK voting public.

I hadn't heard about a call for an election, I am a bit too selective in my reading maybe..

The petition does make me chuckle. It's like a re-run of the Brexit foot shooting debarcle. I wonder how many (genuine) people signing that list were the ones shouting 'it's democracy, you lost, get over it" at the time.....
At least 10 million people didn't vote Labour in the last election, and 20 million didn't vote at all, so the numbers would have to reach 30million before any significant commentary can be made about the petition and the view of the current Government.
I can see JRM jumping ship and joining Reform. It's saddens me to say it, but by electing Kemi as leader, the Cons will have lost another signficant proportion of their voters, so the 'right vote' will be split further between the two parties at the next election. JRM will be right at home at Reform with the other grifters and con artists.

He remained there funded by a bursary when it became independent. Starmer read Law at the University of Leeds going on to St Edmunds Oxford as a post graduate. Reading his family background hardly a champagne socialist.

R-M is so totally A P*ick and so supportive of Brexit that he moved all the family wealth to be based in Dublin so as to keep it in the EU!!!!!!!!
