We have family down for the week so all on catch up for me tonight - too busy piggy backing, tooth fairying, bathing and generally having fun we'll need a week to recover.

A great performance from a rejuvenated Wales, lets hope they can maintain this level of performance for the rest of the tournament. England by the skin of its teeth win over Scotland, thank goodness Fin wasn't on target.

I 'd take a far from perfect winning performance, no matter how scruffy, over a more technically perfect performance loss, any day "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well." Baron Pierre de Coubertin. OK this was said by a Frenchman or maybe a Belge and they do even less "winning" than we do. BUt it is the spirit of the playing fields of Maro Itoje's old school. As an Englishman who has lived half his life in Wales, and even joined a Welsh Male Voice Choir, I have the great joy of being able to swap team loyalties according to who is doing the better job. Mind you Yma o Hyd is a much better song that Swing Low!

So good to see the young Wales side putting on an incredible show in the fight back at Murrayfield. And Wales be proud of your new Champion Lady crowned in the Royal Albert Hall last night. Lauren Price on paper this should have been pretty even but her speed and class was way too much for Tasha.

Yes they should have given it to France and saved all the air miles and expense as I said in another thread on here before it started, they have strength in depth.
