I’ve just got a S1 Roadster and I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for a high level brake light that can be attached to a case on the rack.

Many thanks

Marcus

Thanks lots of interesting options. I was wondering if there was a solution that I could Velcro to a Peli case?

Plenty on ebay etc. I added a Y piece with two connectors so the cobra light stayed avtive but I could add one to the luggage. Then on arrival on holiday if the case was off the car the cobra could be used.

I have a Cobra high level ligh5 on my car. A suitcase obscures it so I bought a light to strap to the caee. Simple enough mods to the cables using waterproof connectors. Simple swop plugs to eithe4 have the Cobra or extra light in circuit. I think I got my light from Carbuildersolutions and the connectors from Halfords ( Superseal brandcI think). Cheap and effective.

Yellow is the best visibilty for visuals apparently, and why railways in the UK use it.

But a yellow Morgan is invisible whether the lights are on or not.

I once followed a black 4/4 on the M42 in the dark in heavy rain. He also had black and silver number plates. He was almost invisible amongst the SUVs with huge tail lights.

My high level luggage light uses similar LED strip mounted on wooden batton that is secured under luggage straps.

It was a no brainer to fit an OE Econoseal plug to lead, identical to one powering cobra light, allowing swap to power the batton instead.

Mine is very similar to Richards except I use velcro to attach the LED strip to my suitcase and I glued a connector for it, next to the Cobra base, so I didn't have to fish around the side of the spare wheel to connect it.

Mine is a similar style too. Mounted on a strip of oiled hardwood with loops to run a strap through. A basic 25mm cheap ratchet style strap that goes round the case under the leather straps. This strap also stops sideways movement of the case.
