I'm not sure what ethanol tastes like, so haven't detected it. Lightly toasted bun with butter and occasionally toffee apple curd (courtesy of English Heritage shop(s))  Graham a true petrolhead drinks a pint of Ethanol every day to keep their spirits up

Murray 30 Seconds in the 800w microwave with a knob of butter inside the bun.
About 20 years ago the good lady made a large bread and butter pudding with hot cross buns instead of bread, it was for a big family get together at our home one Easter.
It was noteworthy and she pointed out to me in the Lidl weekly mag that they finally caught up with her idea.
