Just adjusted mine to 6 , which seems about right in my fairly dark garage . Time on the clock remained the same and no other signs of the world ending (yet! ) I must say I too am always a bit worried about upsetting something while fiddling around with settings ....

I set mine to 8, which may not have been such a good idea, as I did it in a room with probably more light than necessary. However, all very easy to do and works a treat, so easy to drop back as required.
Thanks for the tip!

Great tip - upped from 5 to 10.
I didn't activate the machine guns, ejector seat, or oil slick release though.

I only found the secondary menu by having a play when trying to find a speedo caliberation function, that I didn't manage to find, some VDO instruments do but not these. I am not sure about all the functions of the indicator stalk but the backlight level can be accessed as follows: Turn on the ignition, press the indicator button until voltage is shown, press and hold it until "ILL" is shown then press it quickly so it cycles through the different levels (lights on) between 1 and 10. You can set the level with another long press of the indicator button. Other than maybe messing the clock time up I don't think there is anything that will "end the world" in the secondary menu but I could be wrong! Good luck Slight problem with my illuminator. Both speedo ( on the left ) and rev's (on the right) set to 8, however when I turn off the ignition the LH speedo returns to zero every time and says at zero when I turn back on The RH remains set at 8. Not the end of the world I know but a quick fix would be much appreciated
