The engine light comes on when ignition switched on but does not go off. Oil etc fine and car has done 300 km without problems. The nearest Morgan dealer is 2 hrs away so tried to see what the problem was myself. I located the socket for the OBD reader easily on the underside of the dashboard frame above the handbreak. Connected my old OBD reader (originally bought for the 2009 Discovery) but it could not read the Morgan system. Happy to invest in a new OBD but do not want one that does not work with a +4. If you know of an OBD reader that works with the +4 GDI please let me know. I am returning to the UK for a couple of weeks so can either purchase one there or here in France.

Most folk I know use this inexpensive Ford capable Bluetooth OBDII dongle. Click image for source. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/L90AAOSw5-Rgvc2g/s-l1200.jpg) Linked to the OBD Torque app on my phone it works a treat. If you upgrade to the pay version for a small sum it will not only read fault codes but clear them as well. My custom display setup. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/IbSFE3y.jpg)

I did basically the same with a dongle off ebay.It works on Fords, VW & BMW engines. I have a handheld unit that doesn't like Fords which I were told can be tricky.
My last Ford engined Mog was a 2014 3.7l Roadster & it worked fine.

Now winter has I gone want the Morgan (+4 GDI.2014) back on the road. The engine light remains on and a CT (French MOT) is due. I bought an OBD reader, as suggested, and tried to download the software. Not being good at this sort of thing was immediately confused by the question ‘Which Manufacturer’. I know it is a Morgan but that was not an available option. I know it is a Ford engine but am uncertain if the engine management system is Ford or something else used by Morgan. Can anyone advise as uncertain if using the wrong software will screw up the system

Can anyone advise as uncertain if using the wrong software will screw up the system I‘ve got also an OBDreader like the one on the picture. And a 2.0 GDI. For the test I choose a FORD Focus 2.0L 150+/- HP But the Morgan engine ist more like the MAZDA MX5 NC (or ND) 2.0L also 156HP And the engine is also fitted in a VOLVO V30 or V40. Greets René
