Ian and everyone else above. G&W are first class. They may not be the cheapest but over the last 23 years i have had to make 3 claims, cars reversing into my MOG (One Transit van, 2 x Land Rovers!) . I have got to say it just taken one phone call and everything has been taken care of.

Just had my renewal quote from G&W and it is just over 9% lower than last year. Our other two cars are with Churchill and they dropped by about 14% earlier this year. Happy enough with that so sticking with G & W.

Very recently renewal up for grabs, so thought I'd try the new MSCC approved (solus) Co
I'm still waiting for them to confirm acceptance of all the mods & extra shiny bits...so quote didn't include these yet
G&W, £112 less, no probs on the mods - 'nuff said

Further to my earlier post about my recent G & W renewal, quite by chance I noticed in small print on the schedule that the excess has moved up from £250 to £300. I thought it might be a typo as nothing was pointed out on the accompanying letter, but they confirm that this year, that is what is happening! (it is still better value that Flux or Classicline, so I am staying.) I was a bit miffed though because it’s been £250 for several years so I would have expected it to have a specific mention in the covering letter. So recommend everyone reads the detail in the fine print!

I was originally with Hedleys and Hiscox who were the ‘approved’ MSCC insurer at the time of getting my first Morgan in 2014, stayed with them for a couple of years, no claims but changed to G&W to save about £50 at the time and on the recommendation of a few Morgan friends. Then I met and spoke to Barry Wynne who had his Plus 8 being looked after by Matty at Lifes Motors in Southport and I realised it would take something pretty drastic to prise me away from G&W as he was so passionate about his business and Morgans and Morgan owners.
I’ve never had to make a claim which is only when you find out how good an insurer/broker is but I know several Morgan owning friends who have and I’ve only heard positive experiences of dealing with the aftermath. In fact Barry rang me when I asked about a report I’d heard of a Morgan owner being left in a bit of a lurch after an accident to explain what happened and what improvements they’d made to make sure it didn’t happen again
Sadly a very good Morgan owning friend stuffed his Morgan on route to meet me a couple of weeks ago and he was on the phone to G&W when I went round to his house to console him after his accident. He said they were terrific and his Mog is now with Techniques awaiting repair
Being a business owner and looking after a fleet of vehicles I’ve had to deal with quite a few vehicle insurance claims and it can be a nightmare with some of these larger insurers
LV being the worst (probably why they were the cheapest at the time - lesson learnt) I will never ever ever go anywhere near LV again Which makes me very skeptical that anyone other than a specialist Morgan or classic car insurer will have the knowledge to make things less painful in the event of a claim

Admiral were brilliant for me in a no fault accident even though the other insurance company went bust and didn't repay Admiral. Admiral law continued my claim for my excess £750 for 4 years and eventually got it for me. One of the things that I didn't like about G&W was they don't use your no claim bonus so I would have lost that and they don't give no claim bonus either which I wasn't prepared to do.
