I looked at a lockable cap from Newton but at c £100 I decided against it John, Car Builder Solutions stock parts for Newton caps, might be worth a browse...

Some plastic used in fuel caps are affected by the Ethanol, it was a common problem on the KTM motorcycles cured by sanding down the plastic ring.

I asked about the "Pinnacle Cap" at MMC, I was quoted £750, so I politely declined. Williams do a "Le Mans Filler Cap" for £581; I might be tempted but, so far, have had no issues with the present cap. It seems like slightly excessive to pay that just for aesthetics. I may be a tight-fisted old dinosaur and a product of 1950's 'make do and mend' but I just couldn't force myself to pay 750 quid for a petrol cap! .... even if it was hand-delivered on a velvet cushion by the entire board of MMC! ... world's gone mad! 😀 K

K Somewhat embarrassing to admit it but no, it's actually a new one! Made from some wonder high-tech material in Tennessee. They are called Blue Chip picks.
