We experienced almost 40 deg in shade while in France and our soft top front windscreen inner rubber seal semi bonded to the windscreens metal frame. Since then the rubber has been sticking a little when the tops up. Just wondered if anyone uses vaseline or similar on the rubber seal to enable it to fit without sticking.

Vaseline will do the job Dave. Watch out that the seal lips don't get doubled over at the edges.

A smear of silicon grease may be even better as it has a much higher melting point.

I use This stuff.
Got it when I had a H2000 & was recommended “part” to stop squeaks from the soft top.

Yep silicon lubricant, looks like vaseline but doesn't melt. Apply to the inside of the channel annually with a small piece of rag that you have manipulated the grease into. LESS is more! As Dave said, always make sure the seal is not doubled back on itself when fitting and if the ends are coming unstuck re=glue them in place. I did a post some time back or PM me if you need further advice!
