Is this lower than would be expected these days?

I saw that result.
I thought they'd done pretty well in the current climate.🤷🏻‍♂️
I guess by the time fees and vat are added it's dealer price...........
Gone are the days of rock solid prices and zero depreciation.
There are a lot of cars for sale and very few buyers, but a sale is a sale.
If the owner needed to get out of it they've done it...... and probably before the market takes more of a downturn.....😁

Seems a bit low, but having looked through the maintenance and repair documents I'm thinking it's fair. It seems to have had a fair number of faults over the last few years, probably down to lack of use maybe?

5 or 6 years ago it would probably have gone for over £35k, but it seems the number of V8 fans is rapidly falling these days.

I traded in my 3.7l Brooklands for mid 40s last year. It is still on sale & dealer is also using an auction house. The auctioneer feels it is worth 33k upwards.
Time to buy guys as there are great deals out there

Auction fees, yes, I paid 6% on mine, but no VAT to be paid on the hammer price, just the fee (effectively the fee is 7.2%).

The Morgan world....... dealers, owners....'closet experts'...... need to come to terms with the fact that market is radically different now.
Trads appear to be holding up pretty well.....at the moment......CX's however........😱🤷🏻‍♂️

It's a really good time to get the car out and drive it.....you might as well enjoy it while you've got it....!!!!!

Yep, the days of expecting to make money out of cars are gone now for all but the most exclusive exotica - especially since our increasingly desperate government is bound to think of slapping CGT on classic car sales sooner rather than later.

I have to say I have been so engaged in meeting up and getting around all over the place in either of the cars that I have missed this entirely - I am glad to say - use it or lose it just get on and enjoy them NOW

I'm not so sure trad prices are holding up that well in the UK at the moment, I see lots of cars for sale, some for very extended periods of time, many not moved in over a year plus. You don't see that many Sold Morgan feeds by dealers on facebook considering its been a good summer for a change. Some dealers lifted the winter prices up during the silly summer must have an open topped car season, but the cars are still there. Obviously if you bought the car 20 years ago, prices may still be strong for you, but those who dipped their toe in the market in more recent times are seeing quite a lot of change.

Always good sound advice to use your car, lack of use often does you and the car no favors at all.

Sadly not with the Aero as it failed the MoT and it went straight to Williams (as flexible and helpful as ever) to get it's laundry list sorted. The Coupe is still up at my sisters in Basingrad as I don't have enough Garages despite Richards great help. Looking forward to watching my first Dartmouth Family/Regatta week in the coming weeks as the place apparently goes crazy.

I paid £40k for the Aero S2 about 17 years ago and it had 9k miles on the clock. I was offered £35k last year as it does need some bodywork given it is 20 years old now. I consider that the best car investment in my history. I never bought it as an investment, I have never looked at cars that way. Cost of running have also been very modest for a car that brings such pleasure. Insurance is way cheaper than most cars with that power. Road tax on the S2 (£170) is very modest compared to most 330hp V8's, Service has become noticeable but not Ferrari or Aston levels. Actually it is normally cheaper than my AMG E Estate which is much newer and a premium brand who know how to bill!
