M3W Services have in my view developed and manufactured a very nice alternative motor mounting kit.
God job, we certainly need all the help we can get to keep our vehicles rolling.

I'm just sharing my experience without any intent of bashing M3W Services, I hope that this is understood.

According to Phil Bleazey the likely culprit in my case is the variable amount of effort S&S put into balancing the crank shafts, meaning that I have a relativly "unbalanced" crank.
Could well be, Phil is a clever guy and highly experienced regarding the 3-wheelers.

How to proceed now? Maybe I just have to live with the vibrations on idle as is?

It would be useful, I think, with a top mounted damper of some kind restricting the sideways rocking of the engine.
Something for M3W Services perhaps?

I've just ordered my mounts. I need to replace my centa barrels and install the Bleazey conversion. It makes sense to do this at the same time. We'll see how expensive it is for me. I was going to order the M3WServices disc conversion at the same time, but I guess Craig J. is sold out. It wasn't a must have on the disc conversion, but after a spirited drive in the Ozarks last month I could see that I may have benefited from it.

I wont do the install until January, but will post some of my results when I do.

That amount of movement looks fine, were you expecting there to be no movement?

Thank you britmog for reassuring me, and yes the amount movement/flexing/vibration did indeed surprise me.
It would be interesting if someone else could post a film of their 3-wheeler on idle to be able to compare.

The engine mounts do settle down a bit after a while.

Phil still on the scene? Was led to believe he had sold up all his kit and fully retired?

I had heard the same and was looking for someone who knew for sure. Bad rumor, or is there some truth to this?

If you are looking for independent reference points as to how much a V twin can move in a frame, check out HD Electraglides which are rubber mounted compared to a HD Softail eg Fatboy which are solid mounted to the frame. Same engine, just different mounting methods and the rubber mounted engines really rock in the frame but pass little of the vibes through the frame, whilst the softails don't rock anywhere near as much but do pass the engine vibrations through the frame and handlebars.

The rumour is correct.
Phil sold all his parts to a Swiss Morgan dealer.
I don't have any information about whether Phil is still involved with his know-how.

This seems to be about the right amount of idle wobble with the M3W mounts 🤣
