I don't have the owners manual yet. I understand there is no physical dipstick, relying on a dashboard check, once the engine is at operating temperature. How do you do this dashboard check?

Do these cars come with a paper owners manual? Should they come with anything else? Thanks

If its going to be a rain filled return journey home, , check the tightness of the wiper blade arms usually an allen screw. They have on occasion a habit of working themselves lose and the wiper arm coming off the spindle. When I picked mine up, the one wiper arm screw was quite loose. When you get a chance just put a dab of thread locker on them. The wiper blades are not the best, but they do clear the screen

Thanks, yes I've read about pot metal fixings on the wipers. My understanding is the later models (MY23+?) have improved wipers (and mirrors), which solved this. Can anyone confirm that is the case?

My rucksack is getting heavier 😅 What size Allen key for the wipers?

Are nuts and bolts generally all metric on these, or a mix with imperial?

Only one more day to wait. Garage is ready, an extra CTEK is wrapped under the Christmas tree!....

All are metric.

I've had no issue with my wipers (MY23 P6), but I did replace the flat glass wing mirrors with ones bought from 'morganhoods'. I had Williams fit them whilst it was in for underbody protection / winter check (really just to ensure all was well in the first month of ownership). Librands mirrors are also good, I believe.

It is possible to buy replacement glass for the original mirrors (Phoenix glass), but getting the original glass out is a 'mare, and in any event there are reports of corrosion creeping in on the brightwork.

more tips... same Allen key for the sun visors, they work loose. also the Allen key & spanner to slacken the luggage rack (luggage rack prep securing points) if you need to get at the spare wheel. glass cleaner for the inside of the screen! neck warmer or scarf .. chilly around the back of the neck at zero degrees & 70mph. peaked cap .. sun gets in over the sun glasses. sun cream for the nose!!!(if it has a large surface area like mine).
