I was actually quite impressed by Hammonds lappery, if it was him. Although there was room for improvement, it looked quite well balanced. The Stig on the other hand would probably be blown into the weeds by many of the three wheel racers. His lap looked desperately uncontrolled. Car ought to do a time in the low 1:40s in the hands of someone that knew what they are doing.

can you give us some handling-tips???

if it's dry I have a course on saturday 23th march
from a guy who can drift with truck+trailer on a spot where you wouldn't think there's enough place to do it without the trailer
he's a former racer and now has a test-center
he had a huge smile on his face when I said I would take the 3whlr to follow a course with him cheers

Where are you going?

I'd sorted something out last year at Millbrook Providing Ground with CAT. CAT website

May need to revisit this now its arrived.

Not really, my experiences are too far removed from the power of the new car. However, from watching three wheeler racers, it is obvious that smooth is king. If you have to appear to correct for slides/spins etc you will be slow.

Very, very guardedly as I've no idea how it applies to the new car, but in a vintage one, if you are rounding a corner too tast and get understeer, you open the throttle a bit. This would have you in the hedge with most modern cars, but does definitely work on a vintage three wheeler - I was attacking a roundabout rather too exuberantly, approaching the curb and opening the throttle brought the back round a bit and problem solved.

On the Top Gear review - did anyone notice Hammonds comment that there are holes in the footwell and he had cold air/ rain going up his trouser leg? Is that true?

I was a bit surprised at that information as well. Could it be from the cowl or is that closed off completely?

Vspec, thats one of the things that him saying as well. I assume that there could be an easy homemade fix for this if it is the case on the production models. There isnt a whole lot that is going to stop you from getting wet in a rainstorm.
