Matt Prior (lead features editor at Autocar magazine) announced today on the 'My Week in Cars' podcast that he has bought a Super3. It's an ex-demo and from his description it seems to be this car (which was the one used on the Autocar road test). This after he had another S3 on long term test and didn't like handing it back! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/04/01/Prior-Super3---1.jpeg)

I enjoyed the experience of owning an MS3, but I'm glad I sold it... too many drawbacks...

I just took delivery of my Super 3, and I'm completely sold on Morgan. I know many in the community prefer the traditional three-wheelers, but for someone like me who already owns vintage cars (1956 Austin-Healey 100, 1963 Porsche 356B, 1952 Jaguar XK120), the Super 3 hits a sweet spot I didn't know I was looking for.
I traded my Ferrari 360, a car I owned for over a decade and genuinely loved, to get this (my wife now has a strict one-in-one-out policy, ha ha). That's not a decision I made lightly. But the Super 3 offers something none of my other cars do: that perfect balance of modern reliability and classic soul. The engineering is brilliant, the build quality is exceptional, and the driving experience is visceral in all the right ways. It feels special every time I get in it.
I over-spec'd mine with graphics, sports exhaust, and pannier rails because I'm registered for the Great Malle Rally in June. I'm also visiting the factory beforehand, and I honestly can't wait. This car has pulled me into the Morgan world in a way I didn't expect. In fact, I'm already thinking about a Plus Four in 12-18 months. And I'll be one of the voices begging the factory to certify the Super Sport for the US market- because if the Super 3 is this good, I can only imagine what the Super Sport delivers.
For anyone on the fence about the Super 3, especially if you already have classics: this isn't a compromise. It's everything I love about vintage motoring with none of the headaches. I couldn't be happier.

Good luck in the Malle Rally. I read a book about it ( well some parts) while my car was in the factory for a warranty job.

If you want a slightly more raw experience there is another Malle event where apparently 3 wheelers are welcome! Malle Mile July 26

Had 3 or 4 hours in a Super 3 yesterday courtesy of Raw Rides as driver and passenger. Routes were around the Peak District and Richard provides a great experience opportunity for a range of vehicles. Interesting comparison with our now fully sorted M3W (and also with a Pembleton which we had for a drive as well.) As has been said by some, the Super 3 is much more like a modern car than the M3W (think early MX5 with no roof option and one fewer wheel (or one of the smaller engined Caterhams.) Performance is sprightly but not noticeably better than the M3W. The biggest difference is that the engine/drivetrain is much more flexible/forgiving in terms of gear selection ... hence much "easier" to drive than the M3W. The noise is obviously totally different ... am not a fan of the MS3 sports exhaust which is fun for a while but a bit wearing after a few hours. You sit higher in the MS3 (I think the fuel tank is under the seats) which means more wind noise if you are tall. The seats are rather narrow and we both felt we were partially sitting on our hip bones. The ride/handling felt great (but the MS3 we drove has some fancy Ohlins - as does our M3W). Our conclusion was that we prefer our own M3W for the experience you get but both are vehicles to treasure in this restrictive age... If you haven't tried one, find a way of having a go!

If you haven't tried one, find a way of having a go! Some of us are having S3 test drives at the MTWC Opening Run which is taking place at the Morgan factory on Sat 25th April.

Anyone know what happened to the proposed (and still on the configurator) touring screen for the Super 3? Abandoned engineering?
