Ferrari Italiano

Day one of our Italian road trip, this time the car goes by truck to Geneva, we’ve kicked it off with a trip to Gullane and North Berwick in a testarossa, then an Italian meal at Scarpetta in Edinburgh, highly recommended.

It’s a stunning location, we’ve had one casualty there yesterday, our drone crashed into that spindly aerial and smashed on the road, RIP drone.
,We’ve been fortunate with traffic so far but the weather’s not the bes, gone cold and damp today.

Belated update, left the car in Geneva with a bonnet full of stinky clothes and back to work, what an experience that has been.
A fairly intense amount of driving to link up all the best passes and include Maranello. The factory was amazing, over 5k employees, they have their own alloy foundry for engine and electric motor parts, there’s a brand new on site factory for the electric car but we didn’t see even one complete car, they looked after us very well but unfortunately, no pictures allowed.

The police stopped me at the Lichtenstein border, since we love Alfas I took a pick of their car while they decided if I should be locked up😁

Back in Andermatt just before we returned back over the Furkapass, on the last leg. It was wet the first time, drifting on the corners was great fun, this time it was hot and dry, probably the only time I’ll ever get to fully use all the 880 hp, incredible fun and an unexpected bonus, I used electric only on the way down, the fuel lasted far further than you’d think. At the petrol stops I’d need about £50 the v12’s needed £150.

Some other cars and sights from our trip, there were also hundreds of modern Porsche 911s of every flavour and a surprising amount of jaguar sports cars.

Here’s the last pictures the drone took before it performed an unscheduled dismantling of itself.

Strange critter, there were quite a lot of these speedy fellas high in the mountains.

I’m sure they mixed up deliveries of sculptures, this one should be in Birmingham and the beautiful fountain they have in Birmingham should be in the Alps😂

The stance on the Guards Red 911 is 'chef's kiss'!

What a lovely looking vehicle.

Those were both very pretty cars, I had a 3.2 exactly like the white one but in red, one thing I remember which would be worth considering on those hairpins in the mountains, it handled far better with a full tank of fuel and some stuff under the bonnet, uphill is fine but too quick down and it’s understeer Armco rash 😂 it wasn’t a very drifty car.
