My MY23 has a delayed gauge drop.
I brim the rank and the needle is right up at full
It stays there until about 90 to 100 miles has been done. It then starts to drop.
I zero the trip gauge when full and us the rule of thumb 250 miles range to refill. At this point the needle is on 1/4 mark and the low fuel warning shows soon after that. I was told that when this warning shows then there will be 70 miles of fuel left. I never tested that! I have gone down to 40 miles and the needle approaches zero.
I get upper 40's mpg average with occasional up to mid 50 when pootling along. Auto box and normal mode. We doo many high mileage trips, scotland twice last year....
The handbook says a tank capacity of 38litres so 8.37 UK gallons. At 45mpg that should give 376 miles...yeah , In your dreams!
If I push it to getting 300 miles ( 250+50) then at 45 mpg that's 30litres. So theoretically 8 litres left.
There are reports of the 38litres being a max and a "usable" volume of 33 litres, i.e. 5 litres base level above empty as the advised minimum( to keep the pump under fuel? ) Confusing!
My previous trads had 55litre tanks. The 1993 4/4 had a drain plug. During a fuel system maintenance I drained the tank, added 1gallon to check what the gauge showed on level ground. My safety reading!
So, the brim to 250 miles is my guide. An ICE variant of EV range anxiety but with easier refuelling.
Our Kia Sportage displays fuel data, mpg, miles of fuel left etc. Why can't an £80k car do that? It's a modern BMW engine after all.

From what Paul; writes it looks like Morgan has refined it's fuel guage accuracy.in later models. Mine whilst it reads consistently in relation to the fuel I emprically found needed to fill it at various indicated levels, it stays full for what feels like forever, then falls away heading towards empty at an alarming rate there after. Whilst it is a small tank, regularily achieving 50 mpg plus at motorway speeds gives more than enough range before I have to stop for a comfort break. Hopefully there's a cheap fix to improve the accuracy that can be retrofitted to earlier cars.......I'll find out when it's with Morgan in August. Best bit about the CX its so smooth and confortable to drive, extended periods behind the wheel come with ease and I've found are not as tiring as driving a trad. I've yet to own a Morgan with a reliable and consistent fuel guage reading.and always found some other method eg trip reading to act as the refueling prompt.

where did you get the info about the cheap fix ? Morgan Belgium doesnt know that.
I have received this info about my radiator : as it has not be changed since two years the replacement will be at my own cost . (if it leaks again).

I think the “cheap fix” is merely wishful thinking on the part of John, that is going to be enquired about when a factory visit is made.
Don’t think it actually exists at the moment.

The GDI has a low fuel light in the gauge.I only found out by accident, when I was a long way from a filling station and the light came on. I must have driven about 30 miles with that light on and it was uncomfortable. The pump and sender in the GDI is all one, and may have been carried over into other Morgans, because it is a standard low pressure pump.

The sensor float arc is at 2'o clock when full, and 5 o'clock when empty. The fuel intake is very low, as you would expect. The float is behind the pump, which is why you will see a slight increase on the gauge going uphill. I suspect that a full tank puts the fuel level above the float, which is why the float has to first 'float' when the fuel level drops.

I think the 2020 Plus Four has a fuel tank of 43 litres.
