The handbook says 55 litres from empty. I was down to 5% and managed to get about 25 litres in. So my guess is we all have different sized fuel tanks and I've got someone else's fuel gauge. With regards mpg I'd guess it's somewhere between my Aero and my Prius if that helps.

I've don like 3 or even 4 refills, never managed more than 26ltrs handbook: 55ltrs Stupid question, but that's about half of the entire capacity. Does it only fill one of those rear tanks?

Maybe the fuel gauge is only conected to one of the two tanks. Eitherway, it should work properly!

The tanks are connected at the bottom, so it should empty both evenly at the same time. I don't think it is filling both very well, as the filler is only to the right side tank.

Has anyone chanced running on past the empty (0%)on the fuel gauge just to see how far it will go before running out of fuel.
Looking at the two fuel tanks, they are about the size of a 5 gallon jerry can each, therefore substancially more than the 25 litres I was only able to put in with the gauge showing low. I suspect that the car still has quite a bit of fuel left when showing nearly empty.
Any one yet measured an accurate MPG figure ?

The old fashioned way to measure fuel was to start empty, then add a gallon at a time, and mark a dipstick.......which you then carried.
If you must run it dry then do it at home - much more convenient!
