I just noticed on the Librands ad in MOG Magazine #5 (page 056) they advertise that the Foot Locker "fits all Mogs, including 3 wheelers" Has anyone fitted one in a new 3 wheeler yet? Also, anyone know the weight of the foot locker? This seems the best solution to secure storage and passenger comfort.

Since there is no requirement to have a front plate on any vehicle in Michigan that leaves the front plate area open to have some fun with. I have been watching to see what others have done around here but I hadn't seen anything that really caught my eye so I started to think about my options. First I kind of wanted the black and white UK plate that says MORGAN on it. But, then I thought that strangers may think that I named my 3 wheeler Morgan as they are very rare in these parts, so I kept on thinking about it. Next I thought about attaching one of those polished Morgan script badges, like you would find on the back of a classic, to the front plate area. This may still be something I try but I'm not super in love with this idea. Then I thought, since the first 3 wheelers were introduced in 1911 why not try and find a Michigan license plate from 1911? They were black and white like the UK plate I was first thinking of getting, they were made of steel and porcelain which can have a great patina, also according to my order confirmation form the factory, my car was "ordered" by the dealership on 14/7/2011, 100 years on. 1911 was also the year that Michigan approved the state seal which is featured on the plate. This started my search for a decent quality old plate that didn't break the bank as this will be used and could be damaged. I have found a few places that have some for sale and they fetch $100-300 easily. Well today I scooped one out from underneath someone else at the last minuet on eBay for a solid $61! Now, while I wait for it to arrive in the mail I will continue my search for a better one or better number. Also on my list is a 1911 Michigan chauffeurs badge... the hunt is on. New front plate:

I had one fitted but had it taken out as it restricted space too much for passengers legs. We now have one of the Rutter Emporium stainless steel boxes fitted for secure items unde the vestigal bonnet. Brian

Good to know, this is exactly the reason I asked, thanks! EDIT: I checked with the Secretary of State and 25318 is available as a motorcycle rear plate number.

Here we go with a few mods. The issue of under bonnet (hood) storage has been discussed and found this solution on ebay for 99pence plus delivery. Colours wrong for my car but in keeping with the WW2 themes of some 3 wheelers. Yeap used UN ammo box. I think I need to paint it red and fix some warning stickers to it. Holds all the supplied tools plus extra bits including a couple of extra cans of tyre seal for the trip to Lemans. So, have you gotten this painted yet? Also, if you would be so kind as to tell me what the dimensions are of the ammo box that you are using? I have found a similar deal as you on eBay and wanted to make sure the ammo box was close in size.
