I was pondering what is the best gadget i have bought / been given and the worst
Best : Leatherman Wave; been useful in sorting out car problems and boat problems plus a host of others
Worst : a device to clean my glasses : screws came lose and caused even more problems
what would be on your list

I'm right with you on the Leatherman. Sadly I think it's illegal to carry same anywhere in the uk now. Fabulous piece of kit though. Best ever.
Worst: Steamer for kitchen floor. No matter how I deploy it it's cack!

Although we are now far advanced in IT and Communications, i think the best gadget that took us leaps and bounds in my opinion must be the FAX MACHINE. Worst Gadget must be the Remote for the Tele, why do we spend 10mins searching down the side of the couch when we are 4ft from the Tele buttons. !!! Good posting by the way Pete

Best gadget, Rolex Submariner, wear it every day for ten years, then trade for a new one and get more back than you paid. Worst, mobile phone, many people dare not leave the house without one, then spend all day fiddling with it

Worst, mobile phone, many people dare not leave the house without one, then spend all day fiddling with it Best: My graduation gift was a Rolex Yacht Master, I will never need another watch again. The best part was the money saved on taxes alone (buying duty free in the Virgin Islands) paid for the trip. Worst: Sister got me a nose/ear hair trimmer so I can stay attractive to the miss... Great, I thought, until I realized that I had just sharpened all of the hairs in my nose into little spears.

I am gadget mad. My most recent being a Gaggia espresso machine. I love it. Thanks to Illy coffee, my heart now beats faster than a humming birds. Italians know how to do coffee. Superb.

I've brought most gadgets over the years.....
Best: iPad and iPhone; some combination of these two are the future. Worst: Watch with a calculator on it.

Though I tend to empathise with Easter, I must admit I think the IPhone is definitely the bet gadget ever. From being a spirit level to a sat nav to a camera to a ..... and of course a phone. Worse gadget is probably one of the many car related rubbish items I've bought or been given, from radio wave iPod thingy to a mechanical polisher and a cumbersome (and bloody slow) tyre pump with torch. PS I don't consider a watch a gadget. Though I do have one that is an altimeter, detects weather fronts, and has gps that I bought (recently) as it was purely a good gadget EBay soon I reckon.
Cheers

Best gadget = a fantastic LED re-chargeable inspection light. I can't imagine working under the bonnet, or under the Morgan without it. Worst gadget = almost anything my lovely Sister has ever bought me for my kitchen. After much thought, the prize goes to a hand operated coffee grinder: looks wonderful, but absolutely bl**dy useless. Bud
