Talk Morgan Forums Thread Like Summary - Tonneau Cover & Seat Belt

Today I took advantage of the.warm weather and fitted this Ebay bargain factory tonneau cover to Monty, a bit of sun helped to soften the vinyl and get the tensioning right.



It was still a bit scary drilling pilot holes for the poppers, but Blutak ensured safe accurate marking out so it all turned out really well



I plan to drive with the tonneau fitted but I've noticed once I've unzipped the driver's side portion and folded it behind my seat, it fouls the seat belt so it no longer auto-retracts.

For safety I need it to retract properly so there's no slack in the belt, has anyone with a tonneau cover come up with a solution for this, or perhaps I'm just folding the driver's portion incorrectly?

Our shoulder belts don't have retractors but here's what I had done. I got the zippers and a friend who has a heavy duty commercial sewing machine did the work.

Look, I haven't read every post here, but back to the fouling of the seat belt thing.
Your seat belt guides might be different from mine however I have dispensed with them altogether. My belt comes straight fron the reel to the shoulder. Stays on, retracts, no problem.
