MMC's 4 seater design does not appeal to all (I perhaps am in a minority who like it), but that aside I would say it does a remarkable job of being able to transport 4 adults hood up or down, plus picnic and chairs, something no other Morgan can do !

Hi all,
unfortunately the conflict between beauty (good looks) and usefulness (in a design project) is permanent.
Designers try to combine the two project targets, but the result is, in general, poor.
In the car design world I see some examples (and only for simplicity I would call the two versions of the same “famous” car “short” and “long” version) how long version is different (worse) than the short version:

As you can see the “short” and “long” version of the same car has not the same appeal, and, obviously, the “long” version* had no sales success.

and in the case the result is fine IMHO)
Hope you will share pictures of other cars in their “short” and “long” shape, and write your opinion.
Also Morgan Trad sports cars show the same result; the short shape is, in general, the only version people like. If memory helps me I remember that every ten Morgan Trads sold, only one is a 4-seater. People sacrifice usefulness to beauty.
The target of my design exercise (Morgan 2+2) is not to convince Morgan customers to choose it, but actually to convince Morgan enthusiasts (potentially me too), who don’t buy a Morgan Trad “short version” because of its little room, not satisfying their minimal person/luggage space request), and who don’t like the 4-seater shape, to have a new choice.
