As far as I'm concerned there are only certain cars you can get away with it, anything modern and your pushing your luck! Kevin has the right idea, a pre '63 cover plate in pressed alluminium on a Trad Morgan. Perfect!
My friend has suggested that I put black & silver engraved plates on my Aero but I'm not to sure, the car is too modern looking I think.
