Hi Mark,
The reason your steering is lighter is that the rebound spring has only a very light contact on the stub axle or no contact at all if set up correctly so the stub axle isn't under tension from both springs in certain instances in excess of 500 inch pounds as cars are sent out from the factory.
I am glad to hear that you like the feel of the car and yes it is a Morgan with vastly improved suspension.
