I get water on the inside leather sills of my Aero 8 S3 when it rains hard. This is a lot better since the roof was made pretty much weather-tight but water still seems to end up there.

I realise the door design is completely different between my car and an SS, but the fact that both get water on the sill could suggest it's coming in somewhere else than the door tops. Perhaps it drips down the leading edge of the doors down by the hinges and just ends up on the sill. Dunno!

I might try pouring some water down the leading edge of the door to see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if the water tracks the bottom of the door (and may also get in through the leading edge). Good luck...
